At its 11th meeting, the Advisory Board submitted its recommendations to the federal government. The recommendations include initial implementation proposals for the final disposal of Austria's radioactive waste.

A delegation from the Austrian Board for Radioactive Waste Mangement visited neighbouring Switzerland in autumn 2023 with the aim of gaining an insight into the Swiss site selection process, the associated participation formats and the Mont Terri rock laboratory.
